Joint venture in India a guarantee for success Blumenbecker more than 10 years in India
On 1 September 2010 Blumenbecker Automatisierungstechnik GmbH took over 51% of the shares in KAT Automation Private Limited in Pune. That was the birth of Blumenbecker KAT Automation Private Limited. A lot has happened since then. We do a review:
The milestones certainly include the first complete project in 2012: the automation of a high-speed cartoning machine. Only one year later the new plant in Pune was opened. Two production units of 400 square metres each were put into operation. From then on, Blumenbecker was able to supply its customers in India with switchgears from its own production.
Major projects followed; for example, the automation of a plant for the dairy industry in 2015. In 2017 a large order was received from a wind turbine manufacturer in Spain. The project involved the construction of top box cabinets, i.e. switchgears at the top of wind power plants. It was important for the Spanish company to find a globally operating partner that is familiar with European and international quality standards. The cooperation with Blumenbecker Automatisierungstechnik in Beckum secured the contract at that time.
The most recent example of cooperation between India and Germany is the project for the customer Jöst GmbH & Co. KG. The colleagues from Germany developed the control technology for a metal foundry in Mexico. The Indian colleagues programmed the control software and were also responsible for commissioning.
