This Norwegian brand is engaged in the production and sale of gutters, lightweight roofing, insulation materials for pitched, flat or green roofs and floors. Isola is also active in the field of deep foundation construction, specifically in the production of accessories for foundation or tunnel construction.
Robotic riveting of the gutter bracket
In the production hall of Isola Powertekk s.r.o. in Olomouc you can find our robotic workstation designed to automatically rivet the gutter bracket. The carousel type workplace is fully controlled by a KUKA KR6 R900 robot.
Filling one full box with 50 finished parts takes up to 270 seconds.
Project description
The carousel-type workstation, fully controlled by the KUKA KR6 R900 robot, includes the following:
- Handling and clamping of input blanks
- Automatic sheet metal insertion
- Inserting rivets using pneumatic pliers and rollers, including vibratory feeder
- Automatic riveting
- Label application, including barcode readability check
- Stacking of finished parts in a box
