Blumenbecker acquires Kö Hebezeugtechnik in Merseburg Synergies in industrial maintenance sector
Effective May 1, 2017 Blumenbecker Technik GmbH of Bad Lauchstädt will take over the business activities of Merseburg-based KÖ Hebezeugtechnik GmbH, a well-established industrial maintenance provider with more than 25 years of experience.
Blumenbecker offered all employees a workplace. It will move the firm’s business operations from Merseburg to the Schafstädt district of nearby Bad Lauchstädt, where they will be consolidated with the activities of Blumenbecker Technik GmbH.
KÖ Hebezeugtechnik GmbH emerged from the former lifting tackle department of VEB Leuna Werke in 1991, and quickly made a name for itself as a sought-after industrial service provider for hoisting gear, rolling door technology, construction lifts and small hoists. Last year the company, which employs a staff of 9, achieved sales of more than 700,000 euros.
Continuity is assured
Thomas Schmidt, who has been in charge of the firm’s day-to-day operations for some time now, will continue to perform this task at Blumenbecker. “Our customers will continue to enjoy the same level of service as before,” Schmidt emphasizes. “Moreover, we will be able to offer even more services thanks to the integration with Blumenbecker.”
Ralf Herzog, Managing Director of Blumenbecker Technik GmbH, says that “KÖ Hebezeugtechnik’s business is an excellent fit for Blumenbecker. Their range of products and services is largely identical with what our crane, hoisting gear and industrial door service department offers. Going forward, we expect synergies to arise which we will put to use for our customers’ benefit. And with Mr Schmidt continuing with us we can also ensure continuity in customer relations.”
