Christmas donation 2024 Blumenbecker donates for reforestation in Bibertal (Sauerland)
The Blumenbecker Group has been foregoing Christmas presents for business partners since 2017 and donating to sustainable and social projects instead. In the last three years, reforestation projects have already been realised in Iserlohn, Möhnesee-Völlinghausen and most recently in the Beckumer Stadtbusch.
This year, we are delighted to be realising the sustainability project with the town of Rüthen in Bibertal (Sauerland). The Sauerland is one of Germany's low mountain ranges and is the most densely wooded area in North Rhine-Westphalia.
In autumn 2024, around 1,750 sessile oaks and 1,100 silver firs could be planted in Bibertal from the donations. ‘Many thanks to the Blumenbecker Group for their support,’ says Peter Bootz, Operations Manager of Stadtforst Rüthen. Holding Managing Director Olaf Lingnau emphasises: ‘Every tree that is planted not only enriches nature. It also symbolises our responsibility for the future, which we are happy to take on.’
