Opening of the Talent Company in Beckum Blumenbecker supports the Strahlemann Foundation's Talent Company project
At the beginning of the year, the first step was taken for the Talent Company in Beckum with the signing of the cooperation agreement. Just eight months later, the room for career guidance was opened on 31 August 2022 at the Beckum secondary school. In a formal ceremony in the refectory, around 50 interested parties and supporters met that evening. The target group, the pupils, was also represented in a small group.
Headmaster Godehard Stein welcomed the participants. Majority shareholder Astrid Blumenbecker underlined that supporting young people had already been of great importance to Theodor Blumenbecker 100 years ago. With its current commitment, the Blumenbecker Group is continuing this tradition on the occasion of the company's 100th anniversary. The town of Beckum is supporting the project as the school's sponsor. Mayor Michael Gerdhenrich and patron Hans Hund, President of the Münster Chamber of Skilled Crafts, praised the good cooperation between all those involved. Celina Fischer and Andreas Hofer from the Strahlemann Foundation could only agree.
Modern room is open for the pupils
This was followed by the official opening of the room on site. A 75 inch screen hangs on the wall. On the meeting table is a video conferencing system for online meetings. A modern lounge corner invites to stay. There are also four PCs where students can get information and do some work. Local companies present themselves on the Job Wall. The room offers enough space for future workshops and information events. Blumenbecker will kick off these events in mid-September with a workshop for the pupils.
